Why Choose Bostik TruColor® Grout?
TruColor® is engineered with a urethane base that gives it a distinct edge over standard cement grout. Here is what sets it apart:
- Exceptional resistance to cracking under stress
- Ready for water exposure within 3 days of installation
- Color is part of the formula, so there is no fading, bleeding, or streaking
- Sealing is never required at any point
- Strong resistance to chemicals and everyday staining
- Unused product can be saved and reused in the original sealed container
- UV-stable formulation that won’t yellow or darken with sun exposure
- Cleans up easily with water
- Non-sag consistency makes it well-suited for walls and vertical tile applications

How to Clean TruColor® Grout Daily
For everyday grout cleaning:
- Select a water-based tile cleaner with a neutral pH rating
- Apply with a soft sponge or microfiber cloth using gentle, even strokes
- Always dry the surface after cleaning to prevent residue from settling into grout lines
Keeping up with routine cleaning protects the urethane surface and keeps grout lines looking sharp over time.

Deep Cleaning for Stains or Heavy Dirt
When grout joints appear dirty or discolored:
- Apply Soft Scrub® with bleach or a comparable mild abrasive cleaner to the affected area.
- Work the product directly onto the grout line.
- Allow it to dwell for approximately 5 minutes.
- Agitate gently with a white non-abrasive scrub pad.
- Rinse the area completely with fresh water and allow it to air dry.
Avoid:
- Undiluted bleach or aggressive chemical cleaners
- Any cleaner with an acidic formulation
- No-rinse floor cleaning solutions
Using these products can deteriorate the grout surface and may void your product warranty.
How to Remove Grout Haze from Tile
A hazy film on the tile face after installation is common and fully removable. Follow these steps to clear it effectively:
Use These Products:
- Bostik Blaze™ Urethane Grout Haze Cleaner
- Texspar Plus™ for heavier or more stubborn residue
When to Clean:
- Allow at least 3 hours in warm, low-humidity conditions
- Allow at least 6 hours in cooler or high-humidity environments
- Confirm the grout feels firm before beginning haze removal
How to Clean:
- Apply Blaze™ directly onto a nylon cleaning pad such as a 3M® Doodlebug™.
- Buff the tile face with light, even pressure. Keep the pad on the tile surface and away from grout lines.
- For thicker or more set-in haze:
- Spray Blaze™ directly onto the tile surface
- Let the product sit for 60 seconds before buffing
- Repeat as needed, being careful not to flood the surface
- Remove residue with a damp sponge and clean water.
- Finish by wiping the tile dry with a lint-free or microfiber cloth.
If haze remains after treatment, move on to Texspar Plus™ and follow its product instructions. For persistent issues that don’t resolve, reach out to Bostik Technical Support directly.
